Why We Did It

Since schools had been affected by funding cuts, this meant that there was less attention on the areas that need it the most help, like literacy. As literacy is such an important part of our daily lives and a part that can affect young people in regards to finding employment or even lowering their self-esteem, we wanted to extend our helping hand to the problem. We started WordUP not only to bring awareness to the issue but to help the community realise that everyone needs to offer a hand in order to help our young people reach their highest potential.
