Letter of Resignation to the World

I, Geoff Lightsey, do hereby resign from caring what the world thinks. Regrettably, I have spent too much time being concerned with how the world might react to what I do and say, but no more. I will say what needs to be said and do what needs to be done. This resignation is not giving up on my part but loving the people who the world is trying to destroy. They need to know the truth and the world suppresses the truth (Rom. 1:18).

To the world, it’s not me, it’s you. You’re crazy, showing signs of insanity, and I cannot continue to give you the benefit of the doubt. You were wise to mask your true intentions and a fool to pull the mask off. You try to hide behind double-speak and “kindness”, but you have made it plain to all that there is nothing “kind” about what you are doing. “You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” (John 8:44 ESV)

You have marked me as an enemy, so be it, and thank you for showing your hand. You tell me the issue is that I’m a white heterosexual cis-gendered conservative Christian male. That is correct, and you ain’t seen nothing yet. I don’t believe you can put people in corners based on their intersectionality, but you are extremely narrow minded. People are individuals and can think for themselves, I believe that is part of the image of God we all bare. You deny God so of course you would deny His image. Yes, I used masculine pronouns for God because, to put it in your words, that’s how He self-identifies.

I see that you are only out to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). The “free love” movement gave way to homosexuality which gave way to the trans issues. “You have no right to say what people can do in their own bedrooms” quickly turned into “Your children must be taught these perverse ways even at school.” And what fruit have you wrought? Divorce is commonplace as is single parenting, violence and homicides continue to increase, even suicides are increasing in staggering numbers. No, it’s not the fault of guns. Stop trying to suppress the truth. It is a result of the push against Godly values, the breakdown of the family system, and lie after lie that we get our identity from ourselves rather than the One who created us. That’s just to name a few of your issues.

In the past I have been concerned with how people might perceive the message I am attempting to give. I still want people to receive that message, but no longer will I held back by your claims that I’m the one being unkind or unloving. With all that you have revealed these past years I don’t see how that claim could stick. Furthermore, since you have shown that I can’t believe anything you say, then I won’t believe anything you say.

You and I both know your days are numbered. You have been trying to keep me down for years which has taught me all the more how to walk with God. He is my trust, my rock, my refuge, my help in the time of trouble, and greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4). So I’m not afraid of you, you have a roar but no teeth (1 Peter 5:8). I’m coming for you, and I’m just getting warmed up.
